Resurrecting the Grandma Jar
I attended the BYU Women's Conference this week with Connie and her sisters-in-law. I had a great time and learned a lot. During a session by the General Primary Presidency I was challenged to write down a goal that would strengthen my family. At first I thought that the challenge wasn't for me since my children are grown and gone. Then I had a great idea--I would resurrect the Grandma Jar and write regularly to my family; so here goes. My goal was to write every day but I'm amending that goal to weekly--hopefully I can exceed your (and my) expectations!
Five things you may not know about me:
1. When I was in the Jr. High I played the viola--badly.
2. When I was in High School I joined the band because they were going to California to march in the Rose Bowl Parade on New Years Day. I didn't play a band instrument so I took up the drums which I played --badly.
3. When I was young my mother insisted that I take piano lessons; unfortunately I played the piano--badly. (are you starting to see a pattern here)
4. I love music! On my bucket list is the goal to learn to play a musical instrument. Thank Heaven for 2nd chances.
5. I love to sing and I sing tolerably!
